Lord. may your name be blessed

31/3/2020

Lord, may your name be blessed
in the seasons of my life.
In the springtide of my hopes,
sow a seed that never dies.
May the summer of my labours be
as the harvest of your love.
The winter of my days the
 sharing of your cross.
With, and in you, may we become that single grain,
falling to the ground and rising to eternal life.

Thank you to Bishop David McGough for this Lent/Easter Prayer

The Pastoral Care Project sadly, has to restrict the charity work  in the office until we receive further instructions regarding the Caronavirus.
During this time we continue to join in prayer with everyone in the prayer that Jesus taught us all to say:  Our Father....
The Video on the Our Father may offer you encouragement, and hope, along with all of the videos on the link.

Dementia Prayer Week 12 19 March

16/3/2020

Thank you to everyone for joining in this important week, reminding us that each individual who has dementia may have a need to experience the peace and presence of God.

This can be understood more clearly in the Dementia - New Creation video talk by the late Monsignor Paul Watson, Birmingham.

On the dedicated resource page there is a variety of resources, including one for each day

11/3/2020

Thank you to everyone for being part of Dementia Prayer Week, there isn't sufficient space to list all the churches, chapels, schools and individuals who have committed to specific prayers during this national week.

Please make us of the Prayer links below,  saving to your smart devices. Sharing  them  especially during the service you are leading which may have a video link to those who are unable to attend church at this time.
Thursday Bishop David McGough will be offering his Mass so please use his Dementia Family Prayer
Friday use the Anointing of the Holy Spirit Prayer by Archbishop Bernard Longley,  focusing on the  mission of the Pastoral Care Project and the mission of all involved in the bringing the gospel alive in our communities.
Then use them alternate days, thank you.
